Hi, I’m Sarah, a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and the owner of Inspired Communication Family and Therapy Services. I am also mum to an energetic and wonderful toddler.
Professionally, I bring over 16 years of experience supporting children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs. I’ve worked in both the NHS and educational settings, giving me a strong understanding of therapy pathways, statutory processes, and the challenges families face navigating them.
I also worked as a Senior Leader in an OFSTED-rated 'Outstanding' specialist school for autistic and neurodivergent young people, which gave me invaluable insight into curriculum planning, staff development, and creating inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming environments and therapy.
What I love most about working with children and young people is helping them take the small steps which make a huge difference — the moments when progress becomes visible, when a child is understood, or when communication truly clicks. Being part of their journey is something I cherish, and it’s what drives me to provide therapy that is child-led, playful, and meaningful.
I am passionate about collaborating closely with families, schools and early years settings to make sure every child receives the support they need. This means sharing knowledge, co-creating strategies, and embedding approaches in all environments — at home, in the classroom, and across settings. I aim to empower those around the child, building confidence in staff and parents alike, and ensuring that therapy has a lasting, real-world impact.
When I’m not helping children communicate, you’ll often find me outdoors in nature , walking the dog or enjoying a good film, whilst attempting to keep up with toddler energy!
When you work with me, you’re not just getting a therapist, but a partner who understands the balance between professional expertise and the everyday realities of supporting children. My approach ensures that therapy is meaningful, practical, and embedded across all environments, so that progress is sustainable and children can thrive.
